Course Description
Aims and objectives of course:
- Understanding Principles of Mental Capacity Act and how to apply them.
- Inherent jurisdiction
- Transitional safeguarding
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) process
- Abusing position of trust (PIPOT)
- Lasting power of attorney guidance
Bio of trainer:
Danielle Hutchings started her career working in a drug and alcohol service, before qualifying as a social worker in 2001. Danny has worked with adults across the spectrum of learning disability, mental health and dementia and qualified as a best interest assessor in 2009. Danny is also currently managing a DOLS service for a local authority service, so brings a wealth of current experience to her training courses.
