Aim:
To understand how community safety partners and voluntary agencies can respond to safeguarding concerns from a multi-agency perspective, to help reduce crime and disorder in Bristol.
Objectives:
- To have an understanding of relevant legislation in preventing crime and disorder and the role of the community safeguarding partnership
- To understand what the key, community safeguarding issues are in Bristol
- To develop an understanding of how a multi-agency response could support the reduction of crime and disorder in Bristol
- To have an understanding of anti-social behaviour, its impact on victims and enforcement powers to tackle it
- To understand the links between anti-social and criminal behaviour and safeguarding concerns
- To broaden knowledge of the support available for Bristol residents within local, community or voluntary agencies, including the roles of ASB and Housing Officers and procedures for reporting ASB concerns
